iPhone Security: How to Protect Privacy on iPhone

Nowadays iPhone security has become an important part in our life. Unfortunately, many people don’t realize that their personal information such as contacts, photos, financial info and password etc. are accessible via their iPhone in many ways including holding iPhone in your hand, or leaving it on the desk or charging it via laptop. Here we would like to give you some suggestions to help you to improve the security of your personal information on iPhone.


Tips 1. Use a more powerful password to replace PIN

Go to “Settings”>”Password”>”Require Password”>”Immediately” ”Simple Password”, turn the green button to the left side to turn off the password.


Tips 2. Turn off “Allow Access when Locked”

Go to “Settings”>”Password”>”Allow access when locked”


Tips 3. Use Apple ID and password

Go to https://appleid.apple.com> Manage your Apple ID>Password and Security> Answer two security questions

Go to “Settings”>”Password”>”Require Password”>”Immediately” ”Simple Password”, turn the green button to the left side to turn off the password.

v Tips 4. Not allow to use Siri when screen locked

Go to “Settings”>”Password”>”Allow access when locked”>Turn off “Siri”. Then go to “Settings”>”Gnenral”>”Siri”> turn off “Allow Hey Siri”.


Tips 5. Turn off iCloud

Go to “Settings”>”iCloud”.


Tips 6. Do not connect to WiFi to unknown network automatically

Go to “Settings”>”Wi-Fi”>Turn on “Ask to Join Networks”.


Tips 7. Use VPN

Go to “Settings”>”General”>”VPN”>”Add VPN Configuration”.


Tips 8. Turn off cookies in Safari

Go to “Settings”>”Safari”>”Privacy& Security”, select “Do Not Track” >”Block Cookies”, select “Always Block”. If you are using a third party browser, you can do the similar setting on it.


Tips 9. Turn off “AutoFill” in Safari

Go to “Settings”>”Safari”>”General”>Turn off “Password &AutoFill”.


Tips 10. Do not allow apps to access to your private data

Apps can use and share your contacts, locations services, photos, microphone access and other data and features. The first time an app requests your data , you’ll be asked t allow access. But if you change your mind later, you can go to “Settings”>”Parivacy”.

It is not necessary for you to use the above tips one by one. Pick the ones that you think are workable for you then you can easily prevent others from accessing your privacy and personal information.
